With award season around us what better way to celebrate and acknowledge the masters of our silver screen. TATMA recognises the OSCAR Best Make-up Achievement award winners. For all our film make-up professional how many of these films have you seen?
In 1981 the best make-up achievement award was created after the academy received complaints that the make-up work in The Elephant Man 1980 was not going to be honoured , Christopher Tucker was the Make-up Designer and Wally Schneiderman was the Make-up Supervisor , Michael Morris Make-up Artist.
Artist Rick Baker has won the most best make-up achievement awards with 7 Oscar wins, and most nominations for this award.
